Review of 2021
Has another year just gone by? People say that time flies when you’re having a good time, and the year 2021 has been a lot of fun, especially if you compare it to 2020 where the entire year was filled with fear. The pandemic is very much alive, but we are all starting to manage it better and most of us are fully vaccinated and that’s really great! January, Idre Sweden February, Gålö Sweden We had some great winter wonderland experiences here in Sweden during the first quarter of the year, we visited places like Idre up in the north of Sweden, went camping in Gålö, and just enjoyed the…

Elite Palace Hotel
Don’t miss an update! Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. It’s been a really REALLY long time since we were able to stay in the city for a weekend, it’s one of those things that we always talk about doing but it never seems to happen, until now. One of the best things about staying at a hotel like Elite Palace Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, is definitely the breakfast they offer. I loved strolling around in the breakfast area, just taking it all in. Kind of like window-shopping for the perfect breakfast plate before you decide what to start with. They offered everything from bacon and eggs, yogurts, juice, sandwiches, and of…

The cherryblossoms in Stockholm
Don’t miss an update!Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. There’s not really any need for words to describe images like this right? We have been talking about going to Stockholm in Sweden during springtime just to see the cherry trees in bloom for… I don’t know, years and years. And to be honest, I did not plan to visit this year at all, it just kind of happen so why not stop for some quick photos. Don’t you just love cherry blossoms?

4 tips for great cocktails in Stockholm
Bodarna by Melanders Margaritas @ Exit Milkshake @ BC Burger Caipirinha @ Liberdade Dont forget to join us on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest for daily updates and more images. I know that you’re not supposed to go out for a drink right now in Stockholm due to the pandemic, and I am not encouraging that at all, that’s not the point of this post. All restaurants and pubs are closing by eight o clock and I can only imagine how hard that must be on the economy. I just want to give a bit of a shoutout to a few of my favorite places in Stockholm when it comes to…

Review of 2020
Oh yes, we did reviews of our travel years 2018 and 2019 so why should 2020 be any different one might ask… well, it’s 2020, so it’s different but we’re gonna do our best to at least do a review of our travels within Sweden. Enjoy the read! January Athens, Greece June Trosa, Sweden Yupp, we started the year in Athens, Greece where we spent the first two days of January, but those two days were the only two days we spent abroad all year. We had a lot planned though, and then the first wave of the Corona-pandemic hit us which ment that we could only travel causiouskly within…

10 Advent questions about traveling – part 1
So I have seen a bunch of lists that’s been going around for quite some time, and I thought I would do one of them, but I just had to put a little travel twist on it. But of course that gave me a lot of questions, so I thought I would divide the lists a bit and give you one of them each advent. We’re starting out with the first one, that’s about flights and airports. I hope you enjoy the read. 1. On a flight, what is your preferred beverage? Buy on the plane or bring it with you?Oh, this is an easy question, no doubt. Gin and…

Highlights from the summer of 2020
We did a short review last year, from the Summer of 2019 so I thought we would do the same with 2020, even though this year has not nearly brought as many exotic travel destinations as last year. Fun fact, this is the first summer, in TEN years that I have not been abroad. We have always had our summervacations abroad, so this is the first year in forever and then some that we are doing the entire summer in Sweden. Most days were naturally spent at home, chilling in the backyard with some barbeque, playing games, and having some amazing laughs. Having a cocktail in the backyard. {4-html} Brittish…

Tapas @ Exit
During one of our daytrips to Stockholm in Sweden, we were searching for a good tapas bar, and we found Exit lounge and bar located in the southern parts of the city. It’s super easy to get there from the center of the city, I am guessing it will take you about 7 minutes to walk there from the subway station Stockholm Södra. The address is Götgatan 53, just type it into GoogleMaps, and you’ll see how easy it is to get there. They don’t only serve tapas at Exit lounge and bar, but that’s what we were in the mood for so that’s what we got. And c’mon, after…

Lets go traintrotting around the world
A small part of my family lives down in Småland, which is a part of the south of Sweden. My family uses to be less spread out, but at least all but one of us lives around Stockholm. So that is why we had a bit of a swecation for the Christmas holidays, which is always nice. Don’t you agree? But that was not what I wanted to talk about, I was actually thinking of the huge difference in comfort when it comes to airplanes vs trains.Last time we traveled by snälltåg, translated kind train, how cute is that? But this time we went with the faster train X2000. There is…
