    Food travel to India

So for our next destination within the foodtravel adventures we are doing, we decided to head to India for our next culinary experience. We wanted to dive into the rich colored foods, with spices like cardamom, turmeric, clove, coriander, saffron, asafetida, cumin seeds, and of course curry. But before we set us off on our journey, let’s just take a moment and clarify one thing, we are not professionals. This is homemade food, and we are not saying in any way that this is the correct way to do it. Let’s just call it Indian inspired food by a few bored swedes, okay? Do you see that little photobomber under…

  • France - Paris

Could you, should you, would you?

Last spring we had a trip to Edinburgh booked but as you know that trip was canceled due to the big strike within SAS. And this year’s trip to Edinburgh was canceled too. For this spring we have a trip to Paris booked during late May, but that too is at risk for being canceled due to the Coronavirus. Well, our trip to Paris is canceled. For some reason that I just can’t explain, Paris is right at the top of my bucket list, and seeing as this will be our first trip with baby Jules, Paris just seemed like a good destination to start with. I want to experience the…

    Almost springtime in Sweden

Springtime has almost hit our hometown here in Sweden, so its that time of year when the browns and greens are being convinced by the light and crispy greens to step aside. You all know that time, you can almost smell the colors in the air. The winds are still a bit chilly but if you find that place where the winds cant find you, the warmth from the sun is amazing. Yesterday, it was about 10 degrees Celsius so yeah, it’s still a bit chilly. And that’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit for those of you who use that system.Has any gotten the hang of the conversion between Celsius and Fahrenheit?…

The trip to Edinburgh during Beltane, canceled – again?!

You all know that I love Edinburgh right? If I had not fallen in love with Edinburgh on the very instant we first met, I would have fallen in love with the city during our last trip. There’s just no place like this, where I feel this welcoming warmth every time I visit. It’s kind of like when you visit an old childhood friend that you have not seen for years, but it clearly does not matter that a long time has gone by, you’re still the best of friends. All the images are taken during our trip to Edinburgh last summer. But our relationship has not been the easiest to…

  • Italy - Rome

    I had a dream…

… of Italy, and more specifically Rome. I am really happy that I have these images, cuz this was the place I was dreaming about, so I am happy to be able to share this with you. We found this place whilst just walking around in the city, as we aimlessly did for hours. Turn here, stop there, take a left, pause, go right… you know the drill. You keep walking until you find yourself totally lost in the beauty of the city, stopping only when you find that great spot that gives you exactly what you want. This was this kind of place for us, we took a turn,…

    Plaka Stairs

Besides the big buildings and tourist attractions in Athens, Plaka stairs were one of the things I had my eyes set on seeing during our visit to the capital of Greece. I just had an idea of a really friendly vibe, where people were sitting around and drinking wine, eating some snacks and smoking way too many cigarettes. I do admit though that in my head, as I was planning to sit on the Plaka stairs, I was imagining more sunshine and for certain more people. But we were there before lunch on the day after the new year’s celebrations, so there was no crowd at all. But no sun…

    Tattoos and tequila

We did not tell you about the time that we got tattooed in Madrid, did we? We had talked about getting a tattoo together before, but when we were in Madrid, Spain, we finally got to it. So it was not a spur of the moment desition per say, but it was kind of a split second desition that night. It was like should we do it? Really? okay, lets! To be honest, none of our tattoos turned out that great… Angelicas is the worst, the tattoo had lost most of its color and looks like a spotted military plane. Lee, Angelica’s fiance, his plane is crooked but it…

    12 Bucket list foods

So okay, we have all some kind of bucket list. We make one every year for our different travel destinations, makes sense to us since we’re a travel blog. But this bucket list I thought we could do things a little different… One thing that I guess most people enjoy whilst traveling is the food culture, so with that in mind, I wanted to see if we could make a bucket list with different kinds of foods from all over the world, with all kinds of different dishes that we want to try out. Some of them we have already tried, some are in the near future and some of…
