10 Advent questions about traveling – part 2
So okay, it’s time for the second part of our advent travel questions and last time we focused on flights and getting there, so I thought it would be nice to do a follow up with destinations. 1. Where is your favorite spot in the world? Not a city or country, spot. I do have a favorite spot, or maybe it’s a favorite memory that was made on that exact spot. But anyway, my favorite spot is on top of the Castel Saint Angelo in Rome. We visited for a weekend a few years back and that place just took my breath away. Sitting at the top, overlooking the…

Top 4 in Rome
I want to share my favorites sightsing spots from our trip to Rome in Italy. Keep in mind that our trip was quite a few years ago, so maybe my facts are a bit outdated, feel free to call me out. Fontana di Trevi, back in 2013. Fontana di Trevi Let’s start off with one of the biggest tourist sights ever, but after seeing the amazing architecture I can totally understand why. According to the legend, you are supposed to drink a thirst-quenching glass of water from the Trevi fountain and that would give you good fortune and make sure that you would return to Rome. Fortunately, the saying has…

4 favorite Italian drinks
As you’ve all seen we’ve had both Greek and Indian dinner, so it’s about time we take the food travels to Italy for some pasta and a few Italian drinks. As we were planning our menu for the night we kind of stumbled upon the idea of making cocktails in Italian fashion, and who am I to say no to a great idea huh? So cocktails it is! Keep in mind though when you’re reading this, we’re not always keeping the original recipes, due to the simple facts that our little bar at home did not have all the ingredients. Aperol Spritz So let’s start off with a fun fact,…

I had a dream…
… of Italy, and more specifically Rome. I am really happy that I have these images, cuz this was the place I was dreaming about, so I am happy to be able to share this with you. We found this place whilst just walking around in the city, as we aimlessly did for hours. Turn here, stop there, take a left, pause, go right… you know the drill. You keep walking until you find yourself totally lost in the beauty of the city, stopping only when you find that great spot that gives you exactly what you want. This was this kind of place for us, we took a turn,…

Capitals
We found this really cool post at our fellow travelblogger Litemerarosa and looking around we found out that Stadtillstrand had filled in the list as well, so hey, lets do it! This post is about how many capitals you have visited whilst travelling around the world. And to be honest, we did not think that we had visited that many, but after reading our fellow bloggers posts we found ourselfs thinking “Hey, we’ve been there to!” This maybe a bit unfair, cuz this is our combined list of capitols, but then again, theres two of us writing on this blog and we both wanted to do the list. So lets…

I miss Italy
It feels like its been a long time time since I visited Italy. Yes, I know, we were in Sicily last summer, but that just left me with a feeling of wanting more. There is so much of Italy I havent seen yet and there is so much I have seen that wouldnt mind seeing again. I can kind of see my surroundings right now, my friends and family in a somewhat panic… is she traveling again? Not at the moment but the traveller in me thats usually confined with an inside voice is starting to scream. I know I have some trips booked already but that not enough, its…

Bucketlist for 2019
Okey, lets do one of thease bucketlists for 2019… is it cheating to put Madrid on the bucketlist, even though we already booked it? Madrid – Yes, I’m putting it in there. It’s a safe way to get one point. Rome – Ann has been there, done that, but she wouldnt mind doing it again. Angelica hasent been there so it would be a great city to visit together. New Orleans – that a bit of an overreach, but a bucketlist doesnt have to be all obtainable, does it? Malta – we’ve talked about going to Malta for years now, for the history and the sun ofcourse, so I say…

Advent wishlist, part 3
Nashville. Yes I know, the coutrymysic Hall of Fame in Tennesse. Who wouldnt want to visit the Grand Ole Opry and see a future legend. I actually do like the genre of music so I would most defenatly appreciate the journey. Orleans, as in New Orleans. I know thats kind of cheating, since it really start with an N, but since it’s my blog… The city of festivals, vibrant nightlife, creole architechture and jazzmusic. Sounds magical. New Orleans has been a dream of mine for quite some time now, I want to stroll down the Mississippi river, visit the Bourbon Street and admire the French Quaters. Palermo. Italy seems to…

St Peter’s Basilica
Did you know that it’s possible to climb up to the top of St Peter’s dome? It’s quite a climb and I do not recomend it if you’re claustrofobic or afarid of hights. As always, if you intend to clomb to the top, go in the morning, before most of the tourists are awake. They open at 8. Or if you want a view with a sunset, so just before closing time. I reccomend that you buy you ticket before hand online, just to avoid the ticketline. During high season the line will eat up half your day. It’s possible to take an elevator, for like 300 steps. That will…

Il Vittoriano
Il Vittoriano in Piazza Venezia, Rome – you just you can’t ignore it. It’s an amazing building that are seen from several different places around the city, whereever you go, you are sure to see this. Not that I’m complaining, it’s a great view, especially when the sun sets. But then again, all building look great during the sunset. All this digging around in the images taken in Rome, makes me want to go back. But, have you ever been in Rome during the winter? How’s the weather, say in february? //Ann #nouwtravelblog #travelblogger#travelphotography #italy #rome
