Heading to Warsaw in Poland
As I’ve told you all before, we visited Krakow during the fall of 2021 and after that trip which enjoyed immensely, we’ve been wanting to explore more of Poland. Naturally, our thoughts were pulled towards the capital of Poland, Warsaw, and that’s where we’re heading right now. We’re staying in Warsaw for the weekend, so only three nights, and I am just hoping that it will be enough time to see all of the beautiful places that we’ve been reading upon. You all know that I am not the best to update the blog at the time that we’re traveling, but I do promise you to update Instagram with…

Walk with me through the streets of Tallinn
Since we were on a cruise from Stockholm in Sweden to Tallin in Estonia, we only had that one day in the city before we had to get back to ship. I am gonna tell you more about the cruise itself, I promise. But If I am to be completely honest, with all that we were able to see of the city in that short period of time – we had time enough. Of course, if you want to see more of the outer parts of the city, or go on tours and daytrips, then you will not have enough time. I really enjoyed walking around in the city.…

Krakow by night
As I told you all before when I showed you the images of Krakow during daylight, the city is even more stunning after dark. If you look closely at the image that’s showing the outdoor serving tents on the main square you can see that they’re starting to set up their Christmas decorations. I can only imagine the sights during Christmas, that must be a wow-feeling for sure. So this is how Krakow looks after sundown, but to be fair, in November the sun sets pretty early. And if you’re looking for a guide to the nightlife in Krakow, well, you’ll just have to keep looking cuz I couldn’t tell…

Wodka tasting
You all know that we love going to different kind of tastings, regardless if it includes food, snacks or different kind of beverages. So when we saw that they had a place called Wodka Bar in Krakow, where they held vodka tasings, we just had to go and try it out. It’s a supercute small place, where you order your trey of vodkas at the bar. They have all kinds, straight up simple once, flavored, you name it – they’ve got it. We went on the simple one, with just plain vodkas cuz that’s what we wanted to try. And it was fun to have experienced this, but if I…

Warm apple cider
So it all started out with me ordering a cider, as per usual, but when the bartender at this supercute little place called Singer asked me if I wanted my cider served warm or cold – well, imagine my suprise! Warm cider, is that a thing? I’ve had mulled wine for sure, but I don’t think I have ever walked into a bar and ordered a warm apple cider. During our trip to Krakow we had it quite often though, it was the perfect drink to give you that extra bit of warmth during the colder days. It was served with apples, lime and cinamon, quite the combination if you…

Walk with me through the streets of Krakow
As you can see in all of the images the weather was quite grey at the time we visited, but to be honest that’s hardly exclusive to Krakow during late autumn. All of the northern parts Europe kind of has that kind of weather in between the seasons. But the architechture is really stunning, so even though I always prefer blue skies and sunshine, I hardly minded the greyish. As you can see the buildings are old but colorful, with lots and lots of shopping and restaurants. As we walked through the old cobblestreets, we saw quite a lot of restauration of the building and one thing that really…

Going to Tallinn
We booked the trip quite some time ago, but I really REALLY really did not want to jinx it so I didn’t tell you guys until now that we’re actually on board the ship that will take us on our first trip abroad for 2022. Tallinn, Estonia – here we come! We’re currently sitting on a cruise ship that will be taking us across the Baltic Sea, heading from Stockholm in Sweden to Tallinn in Estonia for a few days of fun and exploration. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the city will be snowcovered, especially since their Christmas markets are still ongoing. I may not update the blog as…

Review of 2021
Has another year just gone by? People say that time flies when you’re having a good time, and the year 2021 has been a lot of fun, especially if you compare it to 2020 where the entire year was filled with fear. The pandemic is very much alive, but we are all starting to manage it better and most of us are fully vaccinated and that’s really great! January, Idre Sweden February, Gålö Sweden We had some great winter wonderland experiences here in Sweden during the first quarter of the year, we visited places like Idre up in the north of Sweden, went camping in Gålö, and just enjoyed the…

Traveling during a pandemic
When we traveled to Rhodes in late September it was actually our first trip abroad since the pandemic hit us. I really thought that we would book our first trip right after we took our second dose of the vaccine, but to be honest – I was a bit scared of traveling for the first time since the pandemic. I know a lot of people started traveling again, or never even stopped traveling during the pandemic, but for me personally it felt wrong to even even think about going abroad up until this point. We’ve traveled within Sweden for sure, but not abroad. Until this trip. Traveling with the restrictions and…

Who doesn’t like greek food right? The Greek cuisine is nothing short of amazing, with its typical Mediterranean spices, grilled lamb, fresh fish and seafood, dolmades, moussaka, olive oils, and of course tzatziki. So what do you choose to eat and the biggest question of all – where do you eat? I thought I would put together our five favorite places that we visited, and sometimes even revisited, during our stay on the island of Rhodes in Greece during a week in mid-september 2021. Hope you enjoy the read and the food! Country Kitchen RhodesBoth of us love a good place where you can have a lot of…
